I shot this while on a photobinge in Paris for Andy Warhol's Interview with Peter Laster, the then London/Paris editor.  I always say "Andy Warhol's Interview" to differentiate from the current Interview magazine.  I didn't know Paris well at the time and had gone to the Hotel MAurice, a fleapit in the Marais - then the Marais was not chic.  So I arrived late at the Hotel Meurice where Dali was living.  There were many people in his suite.  I had no idea what they were all doing.  I said had five minutes to photograph him and started to "perform" Dali.   I managed to get a "real" look from him, but I left quite untouched by his personality, which is rare for me.
